The theme for the conference is “Setting the Bar for Excellence in Online Distance Education”. The online learning environment is dynamic and always changing, and Athabasca University wants to set the bar for excellence in online distance education, and to distinguish ourselves from other institutions in the environment. This conference is intended for faculty, tutors, academic experts and staff who are engaged in the scholarship of teaching and learning and who are designing innovative courses and working to break barriers to educational opportunities. Presentations will fall into one of three conference tracks:
Track 1: Learning and Teaching for Engagement
Track 2: Learning and Teaching for Openness and Diversity
Track 3: Services, Systems and Policies for Supporting Learning
We encourage our members to submit proposals for presentations. Further information about the conference presentations can be found in the Call for Submissions and on the conference website. Further details about the conference schedule will be shared once they become available. Contact Elaine Fabbro or Alain May if there are any questions.
